KTLK To Continue At 8 PM…

Update(11.05.12)- Sony has once again decided to change KTLK's timing. From 28th May the show will air Mon-Thu at 11 PM.

"Kuch Toh Log Kahenge" To Continue at 8 PM.
There’s a great news for all “Kuch Toh Log Kahenge “ fans out there. In my last post I mentioned about the confusion about the timing of the show; weather the show will be shifted to 11 PM or will it continue at 8 ? Things have become quite clear now as Sony officials have officially told the media that they have changed their minds and KTLK will continue at 8 PM. “Shubh Vivaah” the new show by UTV, will air at 7:30.
Sony officials have reportedly changed their minds due to two main reasons. The first one being that, other channels like “Star Plus” & “Zee TV” are doing well at 7:30 slot, so Sony also decided to extend its Prime Time by introducing a new soap at 7:30.
And the second reason, which all KTLK fans will be happy to learn about, is that Sony thinks that KTLK’s popularity is increasing, though slowly, but steadily; and if media reports are to be believed, a few Sony officials even admitted that “Kuch Toh Log Kahenge” is among their top shows, right there with “C.I.D”. & “Bade Achche Lagate Hain”, so they didn’t want to take the risk of shifting it to an odd slot like 11 PM.

That's all for now ! But stay in touch. I’ll be posting even more interesting buzz & trivia about the show.

Confusion About Time Slot…

Update(11.05.12)- Sony has once again decided to change KTLK's timing. From 28th May the show will air Mon-Thu at 11 PM.

Kuch Toh Log Kahenge (39)

There seems to be a lot of confusion about the time-slot of KTLK. Sony itself seems to be in state of confusion- weather to continue the show at 8 PM or shift it to the odd slot of 11 PM. A few days back there was a buzz in media that a new show, “Shubh Vivah” will replace   KTLK at 8 PM, however TV promos of “Shubh Vivah” have made it clear that its not going to happen as “Shbh Vivah” will be aired at 7:30.

Now if “Shubh Vivah” will air at 7:30, then what will replace KTLK at 8.

So most probably KTLK will continue at 8 even after 27th Feb. Ironically Sony also aired a TV ad few days back telling us that KTLK will air at 11 PM from 27th Feb. So obviously there is a kind of confusion prevailing  regarding the time slot of KTLK and SET itself is responsible for this. I’ll keep you updated in this regard as soon as I get any info.

I’ve written this post in a hurry, so please pardon any mistakes that I might have committed.

That's all for now ! But stay in touch. I’ll be posting even more interesting buzz & trivia about the show.

3 Changes In Show’s Schedule…

Update(11.05.12)- Sony has once again decided to change KTLK's timing. From 28th May the show will air Mon-Thu at 11 PM.

Kuch Toh Log Kahenge (30)

SET India is set to make three crucial changes to KTLK’s schedule. These changes are –: (1.) The show-run has been reduced to 30 min from 21st Jan, (2.) KTLK will be aired at 11 PM from 27th Feb (There is already a repeat telecast of the show at 11, but now the 11 PM telecast will be the original telecast.) and (3.) The show (from 27th Feb) will run from Mon to Thu instead of Mon to Fri.

All these changes being made just to accommodate two new shows, Kya Hua Tera Wada & Shubh Vivah. 11 PM shift, however to an extent, may also be attributed to the low TRPs at 8 PM slot and comparatively higher ones at 11 PM.

The latest TRP of the show (at 8 PM) is 1.5. It was almost the same for the preceding week as well. I believe this is a result of negative promotion of the serial by Sony. While Mallika’s suicide sequence was advertised on Sony TV, there was not even a single TV ad for the beautiful violin date scene. May be it’s been so because Sony is engaged in promoting the newly introduced serials, Kya Hua Tera Wada & Shubh Vivah. Sony must realise that its equally important to adequately promote the existing serials as well.
Coming back to the point of change of time slot, show’s producer Rajan Shah refused to make any comment on the issue saying that "It's a channel prerogative to comment on time slots." However according to media sources Team KTLK is not at all disappointed with the change, in fact the are of the opinion the this move will prove to be beneficial for the show.

That's all for now ! But stay in touch. I’ll be posting even more interesting buzz & trivia about the show.
